Extended Information:
PAINTING CONDITIONS Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to surfaces, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C). Do not apply to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist. SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. APPLICATION Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. IMPORTANT! Shake can approximately 4 seconds for every 15 seconds of use. Hold can upright 10-16" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 2-3 light coats 1-2 minutes apart. Keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. DO NOT APPLY HEAVY COATS THAT LOOK WET. The effect works best when light coats are applied. DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. The finish dries to the touch in 1-3 hours. Allow 5-9 hours to handle and 24 hours to dry fully. CLEAN-UP
Clean valve immediately after use by turning can upside down and depressing spray button for 3-5 seconds (some paint will be sprayed out, so be careful to not inadvertently spray yourself or other objects). Clean-up wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Properly discard empty container. Do not burn or place in home trash compactor. CLOGGING
If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object into can valve opening.
