General Finishes Milk Paint is a premium interior/exterior mineral based paint named for its low-luster sheen, which mimics the look of old-world furniture paint. It is not a powdered, casein-based milk paint, but a premixed modern version that is so durable it does not require a topcoat unless you want to increase the sheen.

This was my first time ordering with The Paint Store, but I've used General Finishes for years. The paint arrive wrapped in packing tape to keep the lid on, which I do appreciate, but those handy metal clips are much preferred because after removing the tape, which takes off the paper label, you don't know what color you have, directions for use/clean-up/thinning are removed, etc. Customer service was fine the one time I asked for an update on my order, but I did have to ask. The website says shipping is generally 3-5 days. Be aware that they apparently have a second warehouse where their GF supplies come from, so shipping isn't as fast as projected. Granted, I'm also spoiled by a couple of other retailers who communicate shipping status, shipment release, tracking numbers, etc. without having to ask for them, so that expectation was mine. The paint seems fresh, not old and clumpy, and I really appreciate that.
