All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dirt,
mildew, dust, and other foreign matter. Remove
mildew and other contaminants with Superdeck®
Wood Cleaner or Mason’s Select® Concrete Cleaner
depending on application surface.
Remove all loose peeling paint, rinse thoroughly
with water and allow to completely dry before applying
This product is lead free. WARNING! If you scrape,
sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust.
LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE
SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE,
ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN
SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-
approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean
up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.

Shake well or stir thoroughly from bottom to top of
container and occasionally during application. Test
small area before doing entire job to ensure desired
DO NOT TINT. P3 Primer will leave a light green shade
to indicate where the product has been applied.
Product is supplied ready to use.
Product may be applied by brush, roller, or airless
sprayer. Use a nylon or polyester brush or a ½” to ¾”
synthetic roller cover. Back rolling is suggested when
spraying, working the product smoothly and evenly
into the surface to ensure a uniform appearance.
Apply 1-2 coats to stabilize area.
APPLICATION OF TOP COAT:
Do not apply oil base paints or stains over P-3 Primer. Top
coat P-3 Primer only with a high quality 100% acrylic latex
paint or solid color stain such as Superdeck®Acrylic
Solid Color Stain. Top coat all horizontal decking within 24
hours and vertical siding within 48 hours.
Note: Product remains permanently tacky until top coated
and may pick up dirt and debris if not top coated within the
recommended time period.
NUMBER OF COATS:
1-2 coats are recommended.
45° F.–90° F. Do not apply if surface is hot to touch
or if rain is likely to occur within 24 hours.
DRY TIME @ 77° F:
Allow 1-2 hours dry time between coats. Dry time to
recoat will vary depending substrate, temperature,
and humidity conditions.
250-350 sq. ft. per gallon. Spread rate will vary
depending on porosity of substrate
Pour remaining product into smaller container to
reduce skin forming on product. If skin does form,
remove it and strain product before re-use.
Keep from freezing.
Clean brushes and equipment with soap and water. If
product dries on tools, use paint thinner to clean.
Dispose of empty container or unused portion in
accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Close container when not in use.
