Surface Preparation & Application: Surface must be clean, dry and free of foreign material. Mix gently before use. Using a clean putty knife, press spackling into hole or crack. Draw blade firmly across the surface to remove excess material in one strike. For a smoother finish, dip putty knife in to water and lightly smooth spackling. One coat should be sufficient for small repairs May be painted within minutes with a latex paint. Please follow paint manufacturer’s instructions for application. If sanding is desired, or if an oil-based paint is to be used, allow to drythoroughly (approximately 24 hours). Clean tools immediately with water. For Best Results: Do not apply when temperatures are below 40°F. Do not apply outside if rain is expected within 24 hours. Do not use on floors or as a caulk, sealant or joint filler over cracks and joints where expansion and contraction may occur.
DO NOT USE AS A SKIM COAT.
For exterior application, first apply exterior-grade primer, then apply spackling and finish with coating of quality exterior-grade paint.
Do not use for tuck pointing applications on brick. Clean Up: Wash tools immediately after use with water. Dried material must be cut of scraped away. Be sure container lid is closed and tightly sealed. Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme heat or cold.
