IMPORTANT – Wear eye protection and rubber
gloves when working with WaterTite Hydraulic Cement. Chisel
holes to enlarge them by at least ¼” and scrape clean.
Remove any loose or chipped concrete. Make sure the
surface to be patched is damp.
If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you
may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO
LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS
BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID
EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-Approved respirator to
control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA
vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to
protect yourself and your family by contacting the National
Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to
Mix two parts WaterTite Hydraulic Cement to one part of
water. Stir the mixture until it reaches a putty
-like paste. Mixture will begin to set in 3 to 5 minutes. Only mix as
much material as you can use at one time. Hold mixture
compound in gloved hand until it becomes warm. Force it
firmly into the hole or crack and hold in place for 5 minutes.
Immediately trim or brush away any excess
cement for a smooth finish.
Wash skin and hands with soap and water. Cured material
must be scraped away. Be sure the container lid is closed
and tightly sealed. Store in a cool, dry place.
